Censored Post

I just censored my last post. So much for freedom of speech.

Guess I was not clear headed at that time. Overall the last post was about Trust in Relationships.

Last quote from my last post was..

"A great friend of mine Joshua once said "Why love if we end up getting hurt, we love because we dont want know that we are alone."

Conference is Over

My conference is finally over.
Thanks to everyone that has helped me.

Busy...buzzy..bizzy

"Bizzy...bizzy..."

Thats what I always say this week. My first draft got a few mistakes and the second draft got accepted by my first supervisor. Now need to consult my second supervisor. My second supervisor is one of the most busiest women in the world, you practically have to make an appointment like a few days before just to have 15 minutes of her time. This conference thingy is so taxing.

Some of the most memmorable comment to my presentation.

1. "Looks well prepared."-Prof Rashedee
2. "Your discussion is ok."-Prof Thilagar

Well, this is kinda of remind me of the movie Babe. The movie where the pig becomes a sheep-dog. It kinda of like me being the pig and the farmer Hoggart-thats the name, said to the pig in the end after they won:-

"That will do pig, that will do."

The pig here had to battle life and death situations and thats all the farmer got to say?!

Where's the justice in this..

Thats end of part 2.

Clinical Conference Preparation

Yesterday made a deadline for myself, must finish my first draft copy of my conference. I even set up a meeting with my supervisor today at 2.30pm. I was really confident that I could finish it before 11pm that night.

However things that I wouldn't expect to go wrong went wrong.

1) The main library didn't install MS Powerpoint so couldn't look up the journals and do the presentation at the same time.
2) My GMail Drive couldn't support long file names, and my thumbdrv was already filled with journals downloads. Thus new reference journals couldn't be saved.
3) Went back home, couldn't open the journals, No adobe acrobat in my computer. HAd to go out and download the programme.

By this time it was already 11pm. Now everything was going well.
4) At 2am, got brain creativity freeze. Too much overwork. Couldn't recall the specific word to put in my slide took until this morning for me to remember the word.
and guess what it is... JUSTIFICATION. Damn, I guess you need sleep after all.

Doze off at 3am, force myself to wake up at 6am, look over my reference journals and start to do my discussion part of my presentation. This is the most crucial part of presentation. This part could make or break my presentation.

8am. Went to have breakfast and ate Thosai.
8.30 am Review with Jesse-the smartest boy in class

DVM 6

Our Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Programme is only 5 years and we called ourselves DVM 5. It's a nightmare for someone to have to repeat another year and be inside DVM 6. Today that nightmare almost happen to someone I know. For sake of my safety purposes I will not mention her name, furthermore she has a very protective dog which she thinks will tear her enemy to shreds.

On this fine morning, this person was happily playing with the computer and doing her conference case. My god she was so mesmerized that even after calls to her handphone was ignored. She was supposed to have her Equine Rotation today. This is a compulsory thing. Playing hookey spells doom. Even I reminded her to stop playing the computer and go down for rotation, however my warnings was ignore.
Thus the van left without her.

Today I'm going to make a list of Benefits Of Being A DVM 6
1. You will be the top scorer in your class. It's better if you sponsor a faculty prize and make a plate on the faculty wall. It's impossible for you not to have the prize. The Prize should be based upon the Best Overall Acadamecian In Doctor Of Veterinary Medicine 6th Year of Undergraduate Study. This can really make your parents proud, and they will happily forget that they have to pay another extra year of tuition fees. Besides some EU DVM proggrames are six years like in University of Utrecht Netherlands.

2.You can have as many classmates as possible-the only condition is that they are your imaginary friends. This is really good to encourage creativity development in your brain. This will be good for your resume if you decide to become a resident in a mental institution.

3. You will be your class representative. You will be invited to all the important faculty meetings and make a lot of major decisions which will affect the well being of the faculty. Plus when the university hands out free bees to classes, you will get a whole stack of free bees and keep it to your selves.

4. During Faculty Sport Day you will be the star of your class. You will be the lead runner in all events and you don't have to prove yourselves to others in your class.
However gold medals are not guranteed.

5. You will be famous, when you walk around the faculty there will be talks behind your back as if you are like Britney Spears. Lecturers and clinician will know you by your name and be like your best friend. Even the walls can talk.

6. You can take as many electives you like and take the only ones you like. Example-entertaiment studies through long distance learning-basically you watch tv at home.

However out of all the things, I will not wish this happen to anyone, especially when that someone is counting the days for graduation.

Cameronian Tea Experience

As I mention in my last post, I'm having a one week semester break. Being the kind of people who live hedonistically and embracing the 'carpe diem' principle I decided to forget about my exams and joined my juniors for jungle trekking trip at Cameron Highlands. It's a embrace and respect nature programme organised by Ali Anwar of the Zoologico Society. Actually we were supposed to rough it up at Belum forest, however this is fine.

We started out our journey on a fine Sunday morning. After saying my goodbyes to Esmeralda( my patient in the wards).

We a group of 22 DVM undergradutes went off in two vans. The van was filled with food, luggage and excitement.

On the way there, we stopped for lunch at a hot spring. The rocks are really hot, you can get burn if you stepped in the wrong places.

Not knowing really where were going to stay, I imagined it was some kind of on top of a shop house kinda of dormitory. Boy am I in for a shock.

The place where were going to stay is a Malaysian Nature Society(MNS) Retreat Centre. It is located on top of a mountain near Mount Irau at the height of 6000 plus feet above sea level, surrounding it is a wide expanse of BOH tea plantation.

The road leading up to the MNS centre.

A view outside the chalet, almost late in the evening.

Not wanting to be just in the MNS centre we set out for an adventure.

We went to a bee farm.

A butterfly farm

Look a Rajah Brooke on my crotch

Can you spot the leafy bug?

And now spot the leafy frog.

Over there at night a different dinner theme is selected every night. There was barbeque night, steamboat night and stuck in the middle of the highway night(tell u about this later)

Inside the dorm.. The dorm is price at RM 10 per night. Cheap. It gives you a longhouse feel. I feel like in m grandma's long house.

THis is me meditating in the mountains.

Go here for more pictures. A special thanks to Leo the Vomit girl.

There's a lot more to write about. I will continue next time.
Next part will be the Climb to Gunung Brinchang, Mossy Forest Jungle Walk, Lost in Mount Irau jungle walk and Stranded in the Middle of Nowhere Highway.

Confused People

This post is not meant to offend anyone, and I'm not reffering anyone in particular.

As I was on my way to this cyber cafe, I passed by a group of sexually confused people or better known as gays. Some of them, I have to admit were very pretty. Worse of all, I was wearing my red dog singlet, which was also revealing, and was their target of their tease. I don't mind the teasing though, I helps to remind me that I look good. BUT please don't rape me.

Society frown upon these people, I often ask why? Did they commit any crime or injustice which affect you or me indirectly. Do they sexually assaulted you just by not conforming to society's image of sexuallity. I have to say, I despise people who look down upon them, but then again if you're parents to these people, how would you feel?

I have gay friends. I admit that, but sometimes around some of my macho and testorone overdrived friends I have problem having them mixing together in one room.

Damn life is so difficult.
